Do you know Michael Schumacher?
Michael Schumacher has been the best pilot of F1. He has won seven
world championships and he has numerous world records, because of this
he is statistically the greatest driver this sport has ever seen. At
the moment he is retired and he is an ambassador for unesco and he fights for safety driving.
Schumacher was born in Hurth Hermlheim,
Germany, in 1969. He has joined the world of engine since he was born,
because his father had a carting circuit; for this reason, he starts
driving cars when he was four. From 1984, Schumacher has won numerous
German and European kart championships. It was just the beginning of
his successful career.
His beginnings at the F1 were good.
Schumacher made his F1 debut with the Jordan-Ford team at the 1991
Belgian Grand Prix, but this year he didn’t win anything. After a few
good races he joined another stronger team, Benetton-Ford, in order to
win more prizes. As soon as he changed of car he started winning: The
first was in a wet race at the Spa-Francorchamps
circuit. At last, he got the third position in this championship. Three
years later Michael won his first Drivers’ Championship, however, this
season always be remembered as Ayrton Senna’s death. By all means, Michael won again the Drivers’ Championship the next year and then he went to Ferrari.
The legend began in Ferrari.
It is true that he didn’t win anything the first four years, this was
caused because of the bad conditions of his car, it was too old.
Nevertheless, when the problem finished he started wining, he won five
Drivers’ Championships one after the other. In addition, Michael
Schumacher holds lots of F1 records; Race victories (91), Consecutive
wins (7), Fastest laps (76), Championship points (1,269) and Pole
positions (68).
While he was on the podium in 2006, Italian
Grand Prix Ferrari said that Michael was going to leave the F1. After
that Schumacher confirmed his retirement and he started working as a
Ferrari’s pilot adviser.
